Introducing.... Salient, our first 3.0 Skin!

Salient will be the first 3.0 skin from Skin by Dragonfly!

Salient was to have been my entry in the IPS Skin competition, but sadly I did not get it finished in time to enter, so have modified it to be more of a premium Pre-Made skin to kick start a whole new era for SbyD!

The skin should be done early next week I would imagine, and will go on sale in the Skin Store then!

3.0 Skins!

Hey Everyone, it seems like 3.0 final is only just around the corner, and I just wanted you all to know that here at SByD we are currently getting to know the new skinning engine, and building our first skin... It is coming along nicely! A lot of work has gone into the product since the early betas and we are pretty pleased with how it has worked out now, after being less than impressed at first.. But fortunately they have been listening, and some good changes have been made!

Once 3.0 goes to a final stable release we will seriously begin the process of upgrading the pre-made skins, and I will be working on Custom skins (don't forget to get into the Custom Skin queue asap, as once 3.0 does go final I am going to be unbelievably busy, and all Custom skins will be on a first in best dressed basis!) So it's going to be a busy and fun time! Our aim is to have the most popular skins done very soon after the release of the final version of IPB 3.0.

The new version of the software lends it's self to a whole new style of skin, and I will be developing a lot of designs and ideas I have had for a while! I am quite excited about doing new stuff I must admit! biggrin2.gif As a designer you live for the new and to challenge yourself to create beautiful new designs and concepts.. it has been very hard doing so with 2.3 series for about a year now as everyone has been gearing up for 3.0 for at least that long!!!!! Bring it on already I say!!! biggrin2.gif hehehe

Test Drive the Skins LIVE!

Here at SbyD we do understand that for some people "try before you buy" is important, and whilst our security measures prohibit any old Tom Dick or Harry from viewing the skins live, we do have a facility for legitimate site owners to take the skins for a spin before purchase.

Test Drive, basically this gives you acess to all the skins to view live on the site here.. you need to supply the same information as if you were purchasing, and once verified you will be placed in the appropriate group..

If you would like to book a test drive, please PM me with the following info..

1. Your forum URL
2. Your http://www.ipsbeyond.com member profile
3. Your real name
4. A Post on your site addressed to skin by dragonfly (this can be just a simple message such as: This post is addressed to skin by dragonfly) This just proves you are the owner of the site in question, bizarrely lots have claimed to be owners of large sites in a bid for legitimacy.. the post can of course be deleted once we have seen it smile.gif

Once we have this info and have verified your status, you can test out any and all of the skins live here, we have a forum for testing.
